A Christmas card for Axminster Carpets retailers, promoting new products in the Simply Natural Collection. The card needed to be memorable whilst staying true to the brand style and tone-of-voice.
Taking the themes of nature and texture as starting points, the concept became 'a Simply Natural Christmas'; using one of the new carpet designs as a backdrop, the card features an elegant Christmas tree made from local driftwood. A bobbin from an Axminster carpet loom as the base (with Axminster-red yarn) and a red apple features as the star.
With the message inside set in a restrained typographic style, the solution is an understated but memorable A6 card which perfectly embodies the principles of clarity, simplicity and intellectual elegance.
